Doug supports the proposed new Watsonville High School.  

Doug also supports the site of the high school at Lee Rd. and Harkins Slough Rd., provided that environmental impacts are mitigated and adequate safeguards are in place to provide exemplary stewardship of the surrounding wetlands areas.

Supervisorial Candidate Doug Deitch (on the right) is engaged in conversation with Assembly Speaker Pro Tem Fred Keeley (on the left) at a gathering at the proposed site of the new high school at Lee Rd. and Harkins Slough Rd. in Watsonville.  This historic meeting brought together environmentalists, farmers, city and county officials, and school district members, all working together to implement this new proposal.
